Grandparent's Day at Preschool

Today, Joshua and Abby Kate had a special day at preschool. Their PawPaw and Nana drove down from Lebanon to visit their school. Today was a special day in honoring our grandparents. The kids were so thrilled about showing Nana and PawPaw their classroom and teacher. They also had been rehearsing a special program for all of the grandparents. We have been singing God Bless America all week long. The look on their faces when they saw their grandparents was priceless.

I am so thankful for all that my mom and dad do for all of us. They have taken such good care of us and they love each and everyone of our kids so much. Joshua and Abby Kate always thank God for their Nannie and PawPaw. It is absolutely adorable to watch the way my children look up to them. They look forward to the special times that they spend with them.

Here are a few pictures from this morning.

Jackson at Three Months

12 pounds, 11 ounces, 23 1/2 inches long

I can laugh out loud.

I can bring both hands together.

I smile at everyone.

I can track objects.

I giggle at Abby Kate and Joshua.

I am getting better at holding my head steady.

I am still trying to like my tummy time.

I love being held and cuddled.

I love sucking on my fingers and hands.

I love my new Winnie the Pooh mobile.

I started wearing my 3-6 month clothes.

I watched my first UT football game.

I love bath time!

I love my blankie!

Bet You Didn't Know This About Me

I love pictures! From an early age, I have always been fascinated with photography. I use to run and grab my camera whenever a storm was coming into town. Some of my favorite pictures are the ones of the beautiful contrasts of coloring within the sky. I have several pictures of flowers, the ocean, the buildings in New York City and Chicago. When Joshua and Abby Kate were born, my love for photography really took off. If you have ever been to my house (or visited my blog), you can tell that I am just a bit obsessed with pictures. To me, my pictures tell a story. They capture our lives and the events taking place. My pictures mean so much to me.

Last week, Jason's computer crashed. We were afraid that we had lost everything (this included ALL of our pictures), but were very hopeful that the "computer wizards" could retrieve our files. (Just a side note here, I do not need a lecture about backing up your files. This is all stuff that I know about and try to do, but its just been a bit crazy around our house over the past, lets say, 3 years!!!) We had heard countless success stories of these computer guys getting it "all back". Fortunately, Jason backed up all of our photo library this past May. However, we had not backed up anything since. Well, Jason got the call that his hard drive was completely fried. Yep, that meant we lost ALL of our pictures. Every picture that we took of the kids this summer. Every pregnancy picture. Every picture from June 11, 2007 - the birth of Jackson!!! The picture of him being born. The picture of him on the scales. The picture of me seeing my baby for the first time! The picture of Jason holding Jackson for the first time. The pictures of all of my family holding and seeing Jackson. The pictures of Joshua and Abby Kate meeting their baby brother for the first time. All of the pictures of Jackson in the hospital. The pictures of us leaving the hospital. The pictures of us coming home. The pictures of our family within the first weeks of Jackson coming home. The pictures of Joshua and Abby Kate's 3rd birthday! I have shed many tears and I know that more will follow. I still have my memories and we have it all on video. I just wish that I had those pictures to share with Jackson.

Hey There...

Yesterday, while waiting for Jason at the doctor's office, Joshua noticed these two big men that entered the office. In a loud voice Joshua greeted them with a "Hey there big guy!". Couldn't help but laugh at that one.

Movie Anyone?

Steps I have taken to start the movie Cars for Abby Kate and Joshua...

1. Open DVD player to remove Dora the Explorer.

2. Place the Dora DVD back in its case.

3. Open up the Cars DVD case to remove the movie, only to find the PlayStation 2 NCAA 07 football game in its place.

4. So I try to open the PlayStation 2 NCAA 07 football game case, only to find the PlayStation 2 NAMCO MUSEUM in its place.

5. I then open the PlayStation 2 NAMCO MUSEUM case in hopes of finding the Cars DVD, only to find nothing!

6. I try opening the PlayStation, but I don't know how to open the silly system!

7. I call Jason (who is on his way to the ball field to play some church league softball), and I can't get through to him.

8. I tell the kids that I can't find the DVD and they both start crying.

9. I try calling Jason again and he still does not answer his phone.

Anyone seen my Cars DVD?

This is why we are suppose to put things back where they belong!

I Pledge Allegiance

The kids are loving their new school this fall. They love singing their Bible songs and saying the pledge. Here's a video of the Pledge of Allegiance.
