Random Thoughts

Some random thoughts I've had recently...
  • I got "twinned" this weekend. I think that the kids knew that I was one parent short, so they really took advantage of the situation. I love having twins, but it is a lot of work!
  • Do they make socks without the line across the toe? This is the cause of many battles with Abby Kate. She cannot stand that line and it has to be just perfect. Can someone say OCD?
  • I have spent 9 out of the past 15 nights without my hubby!
  • Joshua and Abby Kate wake up every morning dry. When do you stop putting on the pull ups? Joshua has been potty trained since March and Abby Kate since June.
  • I am making my own bar-b-q for dinner tonight (thanks Stacy). I am very anxious to find out how I did.
  • Post pregnancy hair loss!
  • I am ready for the cooler temperatures to stay!
  • Joshua has started the endless questioning! I am trying my hardest to be patient, but I am having to answer some of the most obvious questions 100 times a day. I know that this is a phase and that it will end soon. At the same time, I am just trying to keep my sanity.
  • I found some awesome deals at the consignment sale the other day. Don't you just love a bargain? I am ready to see how much I made in consigning my own clothes.
  • I can't wait for Jason to graduate in May!!! He will be receiving his Masters of Divinity from Lipscomb. 81 hours of credit - that's 27 classes!!! He only had 9 hours credit before Joshua and Abby Kate were born.
  • Why can't we all just eat over our plates?
  • I am looking forward to going to Tate's Farm again this year. The kids are excited about picking out a pumpkin.
  • Joshua is going to be SpiderMan for Halloween. Abby Kate is going to be a fairy and Jackson is a pumpkin (or as Jason likes to call him a "JACK - o - lantern".
  • Over the weekend, I joined a gym.
  • I have been cross stitching for Alisha. Its been awhile since I have cross stitched and my hands are aching so badly. Its also hard for me to see the gray thread that I am working with. I am getting closer to turning the big 3-0, but come on!
  • The kids did really well in the wedding this weekend. When Joshua saw Ashley, he told her that she was a princess. All night long, he asked me where the princess was.
  • As you will see below, Joshua was not at all afraid of getting his picture taken!
  • Joshua wore the white polo and sweater with white shorts. All of the kids walked down the aisle barefoot.
  • Abby Kate was smiling from ear to ear the whole way down the aisle!
Here are some pictures from the wedding. Hope that you enjoy!

You have to be exhausted from Jason not being there. I love having multiples, too, but it is A LOT OF WORK!!! Mine haven't started ganging up yet like yours do, but I'm sure it's coming. :) I can sympathize with the post-pregnancy hair loss. Mine was bad after everything I went through. Love Joshua and Abby Kate's wedding outfits. Cute sweater vest. :) I hope Jason was pleased. I love Abby Kate's stylish purple shades and princess purse. That is too funny!!!

After some of the other options you trotted out there, the sweater vest is totally cool by me.

I loved their outfits! Very cute. How was the BBQ? How is the outfit you went to p/u for Jackson? My hair fell out w/both kids--like half of my hair both times!! My regrowth is just now ALMOST long enough to reach back into my ponytail...boo cold weather...lawson spent two nights in a pull-up -Underwear since then. One wet morning-b/c i didn't get to his door in time :( Seems like Jason's load is much heavier this semester--somethihg every week or weekend! I'm sure you'll be glad to have Daddy/Hubby back full time! :)

Oh-I forgot-Pick another reason to label AK OCD---I am the farthest person from OCD I know, and my mom tells me that my sock woes started when I was her age! I also had to have the line perfectly symmetrical across my toes, and if it wasn't we had to stop, take off my shoes, and fix it. In fact, I had to take off my shoes just last week to fix my socks--NO JOKE! I'm almost 30 and it has gotten no better!! Drives Jon crazy!

And, I'm also cross-stitching...almost done, but I figured you'd finished weeks ago!! :) Doesn't hurt my hands very much, but that's probably bc I went through months of aching fingers after I started wrapping and throwing papers!

Adorable pictures of the kids - as always. Sunny, does your day have 26 hours in it? Where do you find the time? Cross-stitching, joining a gym, blogging, 3 kids. I'm just treading water with 2 kids. Give me some pointers. Oh yeah, the post partum hair loss is driving me crazy too. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Isn't it weird that your body is still changing 4 months after giving birth? Sorry we played phone tag yesterday. I'll try to get in touch with you today.

They looked adorable for the wedding.. we have that same sweater vest! The post pregnancy hair loss thing is awful. I got to the point that I couldn't pull my hair back into a ponytail b/c I had no hair on the sides of my head. I looked like I'd shaved the sides of my head. Now, it's finally almost the same length as my other hair.. just in time to fall out again! Good luck with the gym thing!

Love the outifts! Abby Kate does look like a princess.

I love the term that you got "twinned."

Oh, and I'm the same way about my socks. They are uncomfortable if they aren't straight. Kenny can put them on inside out and upside down and be fine...ugh!

What are you cross stitching? Pillow?

Updates

Stacy - your bar-b-q was great! Not as good as the batch that you made. I think that there are a whole slew of other things that make Abby Kate seem a bit OCD. That is for another blog.

Alice - I so enjoyed talking with you the other day! We really miss you guys.

Jamey - I am cross stitching the letter E for Will's alphabet baby blanket.

The gym - I got up this morning and fed Jackson at 4:40. After feeding him, I threw on some shorts and a t-shirt, brushed my teeth and rode with Stacy to the gym. We took the BodyPump class at 5:30!!! I have NEVER taken a class or lifted weights, much less had a gym membership. My body feels like jello, but hey, I guess that in time it will get better. I am very excited about going to the gym. It is a great stress reliever and I am anxious to lose some more weight (I've already lost all of those baby pounds, but everything seems to be a little out of sorts) and tone, shape and define my body. I am really looking forward to my time in the gym. Thanks Stacy for motivating me to join!!!

I hear BodyPump is the BEST! Wish I were there to take it with you!

I am proud of you guys for doing that. That is earrrrrrrly to start your day. Do they have a daycare where ya'll are going? Where is it? When my kids get a little older, I would enjoy doing that if I could find somewhere with a daycare. More than anything for just the sanity break and alone time. It is a good stress reliever, too.

HI SUNNY! For some reason the Great Wall is letting me view blogspots today--this is the first time that I haven't had to go through another website which doesn't let me post comments. Sooo, I'll say now while I can that I LOVE your blog and the pics of the kids and hearing about your life in Huntsville--it helps me forget that I'm living all the way in China! It brightens my day!

I miss my gym in Nashville--I hope you have fun with yours! I got addicted to working out for a while--now all I've got are the 5 flights of stairs to my apt and then the 6 flights to my classroom everyday!

oh--AND--I took up crochet last year and my eyes and fingers got so sore! My hands felt arthritic after a week--and I'm only 23! So--I applaud your crosstiching!

Ok--that's all for now! I love you! Give my love to the fam!

Good for you making bbq and working out! There's a boot camp class at my gym I'm trying to work up the nerve to try.

Love your phrase "I got twinned" - that's hilarious!

Beautiful pictures - your kids look precious. And what a gorgeous bride!
