Things That Bother Me

  • Story time at the library being cancelled for the 3rd time!!! I just wish that someone would have kindly told us that last week instead of saying that we would be having it this week. It is no easy feat trying to get 3 kids, dressed, fed, and out the door on time (and I have to get dressed in there somewhere too). And gas in not cheap these days! At least, we were still able to return our books from last week and check out some others.
  • Gas prices!!! Today I pumped $40 into our van. I have not put that much, at one time, into my van in months. Sad thing is, is that I only got half a tank out of that $40. Four years ago when we got our van, I was shocked at the first full tank I pumped. It cost me $40! On the news last night I heard talk of the government dropping the federal tax on gas for the summer months. I hope that happens. I know that if it does, we will hopefully be some of the ones taking advantage of that by traveling.
  • People that drive 10 mph UNDER the speed limit.
  • People that ride your tail when you are going 5 mph OVER the speed limit. And then they get over into the other lane to pass you, only to find that they have to hit their breaks and get right back behind you to pass the car that is in the other lane.
  • Bad customer service
  • The weeds that have grown back in my flower beds. I only pulled them 2 weeks ago!

Gas prices and the way people drive are two of my greatest frustrations, too, baby!

But what do we do when the gas tax is dropped for the summer, gas goes down to 3.10 instead of 3.50, but over the summer, the cost of a barrel of oil goes up to $180 a barrel, and at the end of the summer, the taxless gas is again 3.50, with the tax coming back in the fall back up to now $4.00?

I hate it when you approach a set of double doors, say to a restaurant, and you go to open the door on the right and the people exiting the building dart out the door you just opened. I also HATE our public library. I've never been able to check out Little House on the Prairie.

Bad customer service is what gets under my skin!! There isn't much that makes me mad but if I am treated poorly, like if they act like they could care less if they have my business or not, then I really just want to slap them across the face. Not really, but well maybe a little.
