The Case of the Runny Noses

Joshua and Abby Kate have each had a runny nose for the past two weeks. We have gone through two boxes of tissues. They are both constantly asking to "peez - bow". I have tried Tylenol and Benadryl. I've actually had to use their bulb syringe from when they were babies!

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to get rid of the runny noses?

Avery's had the same thing for three weeks, along with a cough. We went to the dr. today for her 18 month check up (wow), and he gave her some other decongestant stuff. I'll let you know if that works.

I'd talk to the dr. about some stronger Allergy meds if Benadryl isn't taking care of it. Also it would be worth it to have their ears looked at too since all that extra fluid can build up in their ears too.

Sunny,

Dr. Kinzer here. What you need to do is mix a teaspoon of salt with some warm water and squirt it up their noses. Should fix them right up. Medicine for colds is an old wives tale.

Sunny,

You should have plenty of prescriptions for this remedy, I give them out to everyone. You know, the ones written on the post-it notes I keep in my desk drawer.
