Painting

Joshua and Abby Kate spent the weekend with their Nana and PawPaw. They had so much fun going to the county fair and swimming in their pool. Hopefully I will post some pics from their time with their grandparents.

Jason, Jackson and I spent the weekend here at home. We had thought about taking a trip to St. Louis to see the Cardinals play, but we knew that we needed to take care of some things around the house.

So, to help celebrate our anniversary, we decided to paint Joshua and Abby Kate's rooms! I meant to take some before pictures, but forgot. Their rooms are the same as before, except that the walls were beige.

Joshua's Cardinal's Room

Abby Kate's Princess Room - I still have a lot of work to do with her room.

Jason and I had dinner at Red Lobster on Saturday night.

Abby Kate and Joshua LOVE firetrucks! We snapped this picutre at my dad's work. They had a family day and we got to see where PawPaw works!

The rooms look great! You guys did a great job. I am glad that you squeezed in an anniversary dinner. You've got to at least do that! : ) I love the fire truck picture.

Your children are soooo cute! I can't imagine life with three! I also loved looking at the pics of you and Jason from the past eleven years. Has it really been that long? Time flies when you're having fun! I'll keep checking in!

Joshua and Abby Kate's rooms look really cute! I can't believe that they have "big kid" rooms. I'm sure ya'll were worn out after the painting. Guess it was easier with Joshua and Abby Kate gone. :) Atleast you got a good dinner for a break.

What did the kids say when they came home and saw their new rooms??? Were they excited? Did they know you were going to do it, or was it a surprise?

I like the choices...isn't it amazing how a little color can change the whole look?!

I like the pink with the dark furniture..very pretty.

Stacy - unfortunately we arrived home really late and the kids had fallen asleep on the way home (no nap). Joshua was very cranky and we just put him to bed immediately. Abby Kate said that she loved her room. Both of them have told us over and over that they LOVE their new rooms! Joshua actually "painted" the kitchen wall the other day. I wonder where they get this stuff from. We have never painted in front of them before, but he knew exactly what to do!

Jamey - I thought the exact same thing. Joshua's room seems more "put together". I still have a lot to do with Abby Kate's room, but I am looking forward to finding all of the accessories to go with her room.

That sounds like a great weekend. I love the rooms, it feels more like home with some color on the walls, doesn't it?
