My Little Helpers

The other day I took all 3 kids to Wal-Mart after running a marathon of errands. I needed a few essentials to make it through the rest of the week. "Water" was on my list. Jason always puts all of my water bottles in the refrigerator for me. I placed the water bottles on the kitchen floor beside the refrigerator when we got home. I had to change and feed Jackson. When I was finished with Jackson, this is what I saw...

They even took care of the trash for me!!!
I have the best little helpers! They always are more than willing to help out with anything. (I know that their joyful attitude will not last, but for now, I am loving it!) They really know how to take care of their momma.

That is so sweet! We need to write down now all the times they like to help us just to prove it to them when they become teenagers and are unwilling.

That is so sweet! Did they put the water away without being asked????????? You've got great kids.

Yes, Alice! I didn't even ask the kids to put the water bottles up for me. They just saw that something needed to be done and they got to it.

I love how they help out. Today I was dusting and Abby Kate "helped" me dust the rest of the house too. Joshua has always been a BIG helper. He will pull the clothes out of the dryer for me and push the laundry basket to my room for me. Abby Kate loves to help me fold the clothes and Joshua loves "finding the matches". When I am done with folding the laundry, they can each put up their own socks, underwear, pjs, and pants. They also help set the table and unload the dishwasher. They are tremendous helpers and I love it!!! I will not be the kind of mom that does every little thing for each of her kids. My policy is that everyone can pitch in. Sorry, I think that I just got a little carried away. I just love having little helpers. Oh, and they are pretty particular about the way things are done (just like their momma). I couldn't be any prouder.

That is too cute the way they just took charge of the situation and got that water put away. You trained them right! I think everyone pitching in is a great policy ;)

That is great! I think they are proud of themselves, too, when they are able to help and do a good job.

I bet you were so thrilled to come into the kitchen and find the water in the fridge!

How sweet! They knew you needed some extra help this week. I can't wait to have helpers around here. :) Do you want to switch kids from time to time? Just kidding! I am putting my kids to work, too, once they get old enough. I agree with you on your comment. They are a part of the family...everybody needs to "pitch in" and do their part.
