I'm Calling In Sick

I need a personal day! Jackson exhausts me physically and Joshua and Abby Kate exhaust me mentally. If only I could call in sick...

On Tuesday, Jackson threw his plate of Beefaroni on the floor. Beefaroni went all over my beige carpets, the kitchen walls and the tile floor in the kitchen. I don't know if I will give him any food that is red anytime soon. Yesterday morning while I was getting ready, Jackson threw my hairbrush in the toilet. This morning, Jackson decided to also throw the container of wipes in the toilet. I guess that I need to find a safety lock for our toilets. There is no telling what else will end up in there. AND, he is working on his 2 year molars! Oh happy day!!!

I don't know what stage we are entering with Joshua and Abby Kate, but I am not liking it one bit. They are driving me (and each other) crazy by constantly nagging each other. They have also been fighting with each other non-stop. Normally they are the best of friends, but these past few days have been torture for me. The other day I made them sit down together and hold hands until they were happy and giggling and nice to each other. I don't know if I should constantly break up their fights or if I should let them work it out. Right now, I'm doing a little of both. I get in the middle of it when it goes a little too far, but I also try to let them work things out on their own if they can.

I love my babies with all of my heart, but I need a time out! Its just been that kind of a week around here. At least tomorrow, Jason and I will get to go out for lunch with Jackson. I'm thinking Olive Garden! And tomorrow night, we have Parents' Night Out at church, so we get to go out on a date! Woo Hoo!

Let me just say that yesterday was that kind of a day for me...I spent about 2 hours of it crying. It was so bad that Ben came home a few hours early. Not b/c I asked him, but because he felt like I was losing it! If I have time, I'm going to post about my terrible day yesterday...we'll see if I get to it. I understand, Sunny. Not everyday is a happy-go-lucky day with little ones. :) We love them, but they can wear us out, can't they??? Hang in there. Call if you need to vent. :)

I feel ya sista and I'm not home with mine all day, plus I only have 2! I simply cannot imagine! Grant is in that tough stage too. Very very challenging. I keep hearing that Darius Rucker song & thinking "it won't be like this for long!" Hang in there girl!

Update: Jackson decided to put his potty chair in the real potty after someone used it and forgot to flush. Then Joshua helped out by fishing it out for us! Gross!!! Jackson also unrolled the entire roll of toilet paper.

On a different note, Jackson used the potty twice tonight! This makes three times! We've got a big boy on our hands.

Hey Sunny, must be something about "Spring Fever"- mine have all been "at it" with eachother more than "normal" too, and I have recently begun bungee cording my chairs to the table to keep baby off the table. Can't blame it on spring break- we didn't take it. Cleaning is a good "consequence" for mine and keeps my baseboards shiny too- if I have to be annoyed by listening to bickering all day, at least I can marvel at my "shiny house" :) I think it is fun to put the 2 who are bickering on opposite sides of a window with a bottle of Windex and a towel, it quickly turns into "giggles" :)
Hang in there- We can just pray eachother thru these days!
We can pray for Anna too and all the other "mommies".

I'm with you! Gracie has learned to scream and make noises when Will does. While we were in the car all weekend that is all we heard... screaming kids. They thought it was funny and laughed at each other. It was not so funny to us and unfortunately, we can stop Will from doing it but not Gracie. Just a glimpse of the days to come for us!!! Heaven help us all!!! I keep threatening Corey (jokingly of course) that I am going to drop mine off at that daycare down the road that will take your kids from 6:30am - 6:30pm. That would only leave me with screaming kids for about an 1 1/2 a day. Somedays that sounds pretty good!
