I'm just having "one of those moments". Right now I feel swamped.
I have about 3-4 loads of laundry from the weekend.
I need to make out our grocery list (that never seems to end).
I need to make (yet another) trip to the dreaded Wal-Mart. (There was a time when I actually LOVED going to Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, those days are long gone.)
The bills need to be paid.
The receipts need to be entered into the checkbook register and then subtracted out.
I have paperwork to complete for medical purposes.
I have dishes to wash.
Meals need to be prepared.
A baby needs to be fed and changed.
My van needs gas (yet again!).
I need to clean my house.
I need to go to the bank.
The newspaper ads need to be gone through to see who has the best deals this week. Thank goodness for Baby Cheapskate.
I have several appointments to keep this week. (It seems that they all come at once. Between the 3 kids and myself, I think that I have 6 "appointments" this week alone).
I don't know if you are like me, but there are some days that really overwhelm me. I just wish that this stuff did not have to get done. But you see, this is pretty much the same list from last week. I have been putting this stuff off for as long as I can. Now, I HAVE to get it done! This is just one vicious cycle that never ends.

Hi Sunny, I feel overwhelmed frequently. I just do what I need to do to get through the day, not that this is good advice. It is just what I do. When I look back and see what all has been accomplished I know it must be Jesus, because there is no way I could have done all that by myself. So when I remember that God helped me before, I know He will be there again. I don't always remember, then I feel overwhelmed all over again :) You and Jason are doing a great job with your kids. I am always encouraged when I see you or your children at church.
no good advice here. just empathy. i have those moments probably weekly or biweekly. i just try to tackle what i can and mentally congratulate myself. it is annoying that even when the to-do list is completed, you have to do it again. best wishes for a good week!
I am with you, Sunny! I was having one of those moments Sunday after church. Sundays and Wednesdays are by far the hardest days for us. I leave church completely stressed out sometimes...which I don't want to be that way, but it's hard not to be. The age my kids are at is a lot of fun, but it is exhausting, too! I get overwhelmed too much by what all is ahead of me. It is overwhelming sometimes trying to get all the things done that have to get done at home. It's hard now because our kids are so dependent on us to do so much for them. It will get easier and then we'll miss them being little. I'm just the type of person that likes to get everything done and have it done perfectly. I think God's teaching me to let things go...things that aren't that important. I'm still learning and working at it. I'm with you, though, on your post. It's nice to know that others feel overwhelmed and stressed, too...to me it is atleast. :) You can always vent to me if you need to.
I feel overwhelmed often as well. I am a list person and try to get things done, but sometimes that does not happen. Just remember to take it one day at a time and remember that God is there to help. You have three miracles that are worth putting a check list on hold as well.
Take it one day at a time!
I'm with you today. Just about everything on your list is on mine too and I had a bad morning (see my blog) and spent all morning dealing with that. Now I'm sitting at the computer holding a sleeping baby! I'm trying to be more laid back, but we have frequent visitors that we don't know are coming and the house being a disaster totally stresses me out. You can never really be caught up anyway, right?! I don't know what I'm going to do when I go back to work!!
"Quit your whining and get off your pity potty, Nancy."
it is a very vicious cycle! i barely even have time to blog anymore so i can only imagine how you feel! hang in there!
Sounds like Jason needs to tackle some laundry and dishes?
HaHa Jason! (Or should I say FRANK!)
I can SO relate to this post. I hope things are caught up by now. But if you're like me the cycle continues on. Somehow those meals and laundry are never-ending! Guess we like to eat. :)
I hate Wal Mart.
