Stitches

Last night was quite an eventful night. Jason and I were teaching Jackson's Bible class and quickly got lost in the world of "God Making Our Families". Towards the end of class, one of our Preschool Ministry leaders came and got me, telling me that Abby Kate had hit her head. She had hit her head on one of the corners of the room and she was bleeding. I am so weak when it comes to these things and when I walked in the room, I wanted to cry. My precious little girl had a really deep gash in the back of her head and her hair was all bloody. I don't think straight at all in those moments. Fortunately, we are surrounded by the best family and they thought for me. The boys went to a friend's house and we headed over to the doctor's office to get Abby Kate fixed up. She ended up getting four shots and now has 3 stitches in the back of her head. The gash ended up being about an inch long and was very deep. The stitches should dissolve over the next few weeks and hopefully she will be as good as new. Thank you to EVERYONE that was there for us last night! It means so much to us and we really appreciate each and every one of you!

Poor Abby Kate! I hope she is feeling better & that your nerves have calmed! I bet you never would've imagined AK would need stitches instead of Jackson :)

Bless her heart! (and yours!) I hate situations where you feel helpless and lost for a few fleeting seconds.

Hope she doesn't feel any discomfort over the next few days!

Oh, Sunny! I am sooooo.... sorry! I feel bad that you had our class to take care of last night...you had plenty going on with Abby Kate. I'm sure somebody took over for you. I hope that Abby Kate is okay. I know that gave ya'll a good scare. I'm thankful that Jason was down there, too, and not having to teach. Ya'll deserve a break from the drama. :) Give her a hug from us.

Anna, don't worry. It happened at the end of class, so we were right there. The scariest part was that she didn't even cry (I thought she was in shock or something). I was SO glad that Jason was down there with me too. That class is absolutely precious!!! We had the best time with them.
