New Additions

Last night, we took the kids to Across the Pond and added more fish to our pond out back. We have been working hard in our yard the past few weeks and finally got to the point where we decided that it was time to add to our fish pond. When we moved into our house, we "inherited" 8 fish. Well over time, those fish were eaten by some cats and birds and we only had one fish that survived. (I know, we are bad pet fish owners). Tonight, Elmo received some new friends. Jason and the kids named our newest additions. We are happy to announce our newest fish family members: Zoe, Bert, Zacchaeus, Winnie, Tuck, Bono, Lennon and McCartney.

Our 8 fish!

The kids were so excited about our new fish!

Watching the new fish acclimate to their new home.

Someone who has the twin gene should never title a post "New Additions" =)

Yeah, Joy, we're done with those kinds of "additions".

Can anybody guess which 3 fish I named?!? :)

Jason, I would guess you were responsible for those last 3. haha!

My question: who loves Tuck Everlasting? Would that be you, Sunny? I recognize the names Winnie & Tuck from that book/movie. Or was this just a coincidence?

What a pretty area to have in the backyard!

Jenna, I think that Joshua was thinking of the WonderPets. We also have a dog next door that is named Winnie. I was in Target when Jason and the kids named all of the fish. I guess they didn't want my vote. :)

How fun to have a little fish pond in your backyard! I'm sure your kids were excited to put some little critters in there. :)

I was just going to say that I bet I could guess who named the last 3 then I read Jason's comment.
I also agree with Joy...Jason did make the remark in class Sunday that there would be no more Bybee's and then I saw your title and laughed thinking he spoke a little to soon! HA!

Love the names of your fishies. Sounds like you have the same luck with pets as we do. We once had 6 tadpoles and finally, out of desperation took the very last one to the pond in our neighborhood because I couldn't bare to attend another tadpole funeral! Let me know how the fish go...maybe we could handle that! ;)

Taylor, our previous owners left us with an immaculately landscaped yard. We are really trying to get everything looking good again. Its a lot of work, but definitely worth it. I am looking forward to getting finished with all of our projects, so that we can sit back and enjoy the summer. Of course, there will always be weeds...
