Diapering, Ducks and Disasters

This past weekend, our family headed up to Nashville with Corey and Alisha for the Zoe Leadership and Worship Conference. We had a great time and it was so encouraging and uplifting. The most meaningful time (for me) was spent around a small table in the Longview Mansion with 8 other wives of ministers one day for 6 hours. I am so thankful for the opportunity to get away and refocus.

The conference had a Zoe Kids program that our children participated in one night. After we picked up the kids, we were standing around talking with Corey and Alisha, when Alisha pointed out that Jack's diaper was on backwards. At first she thought that this was something that I had done in an effort to keep him from pulling it off. Fortunately, he is not at that stage (yet), but we were all tickled! Apparently someone does not know how to diaper a baby! Alisha begged for a picture and I finally got one after chasing around our little man!

During one of our breaks, Jason took the kids over to Centennial Park. They had a great time watching the ducks and walking around the Park.

Jackson loves to eat snacks and the Club Snack Sticks are some of his favorites. I thought that this was a cute picture. That was until I walked away a few seconds after snapping this picture only to find the WHOLE box of crackers dumped out in the hotel floor. Needless to say, our $2.50 went in the trash can.

Glad ya'll got to get away some this past weekend. I could use a little spiritual uplifting these days. I know that was good for you...especially getting to be around other minister's wives.

Someone put Lawton's diaper on backwards in the nursery at church one time. I mean, you really have to work hard to do that! I'm glad you had a good weekend!
